Star Island Resort Common Area and Amenity Accessibility.

·        

All buildings have limited handicap parking spaces and access with ramp.

·         Accessible parking at registration:  A dedicated handicap parking lot and ramp are located on the west side of the clubhouse entrance in-between the clubhouse and building 14. 

·         Clubhouse check-in/ registration: You may gain entry into registration by following the pathway from accessible parking to automatic entry doors that lead directly to resort check-in.

·         Men’s and Ladies locker rooms: Our sauna, steam room, hot tub, showers, restrooms and lockers are located within the locker rooms. All listed amenities are located on the first-floor of the clubhouse and handicap accessible with exception of the hot tub which does not have a handicap accessible lift.

·         Day Spa: The day spa is located on the first floor next to guest registration. 

·         Game Room: The game room is located on the lower level of the clubhouse and can be accessed by traveling through the front desk automatic doors out to the pool.  Turn right before passing the first pool then travel west toward the handicap ramp, located just past the pool entry gate.  The handicap ramp ends at the back entrance of the fitness center. As you travel through the fitness center, you will find the entrance to the game room on the right.

·         Fitness Center:  Celebrity Fitness is located on the lower level of the clubhouse and can be accessed by traveling through the front desk automatic doors out to the pool.  Turn right before passing the first pool then travel west toward the handicap ramp located just past the pool entry gate.  The handicap ramp ends at the back entrance of the fitness center.

·         Resort Pools: Star Island Resort offers two pools, both located at the main clubhouse just beyond resort check-in.  Both pools are equipped with ADA accessible pool lifts.

·         Outdoor Hot Tub: The outdoor hot tub is located at the main clubhouse just beyond resort check-in and is accessible via a ramp located next to the pool bathrooms. The hot tub is also equipped with an ADA accessible lift.  

·         Gift Shop/Deli: The resort convenience store is located at the main clubhouse next to the outdoor hot tub and is ADA accessible at both entrances.  You may exit the front desk toward the pools and head straight ahead approximately 50ft. The convenience store is located on the left.

·         Poolside Restrooms: Restrooms are located at the main clubhouse next to the outdoor hot tub and are ADA accessible.  You may exit the front desk toward the pools and travel straight ahead approximately 60ft. The restrooms are located on the left.

·         Poolside (Bobby’s) Bar: The pool side bar is located just outside the main clubhouse next to our resort pools.  The ramp necessary to access the bar is located at the west side or rear of the bar and will lead you around toward the front of the pool bar.

·         Star Bar (Upstairs):  Our Star Bar is located on the second level of the clubhouse and can be accessed by utilizing the elevator located at the west side of the clubhouse.

·         Tennis courts: We have nine tennis courts located to the south of our resort pools just beyond the pool hut and are ADA accessible.   

·         Miniature Golf:  Mini golf is located to the south of our resort pools just beyond the pool hut. There is a ramp that will lead you to the entrance; however, the mini golf amenity is not ADA accessible. 

·         Children’s Playground:   Our resort playground is located to the south of our resort pools just beyond the pool hut but is not ADA accessible.   

·         Children’s water feature:  This water feature is located at the South end of our two resort pools across from the towel hut and is ADA Accessible.

·         Towel Hut: Our towel hut is located at the South end of our two resort pools, next to the children’s water feature and is ADA Accessible.

·         Sun and Fun Deck: The sun and fun deck is located South of our resort pools just beyond the pool hut. There is a ramp that will lead you to the entrance located on the left.   

·         Driving range & Putting green:  Our golf amenities are located on the North side of the property next to our primary parking lot and the resort club house.  The golf amenities are not ADA accessible.

·         Nature trail: Our nature trail is located on the East side of the property and runs along the lake side.  You may access the trail by traveling the road across from building 39 past the Celebrity room. This road will also pass the driving range and will end at Lake Cecile.  The nature trail is paved and partially handicap accessible until it turns into a dirt path that has many natural tree roots and no longer safe for persons with limited mobility to navigate. 

·         Lakeside docks: Our two resort docks are located on the East, lake side and are accessible by traveling the road across from building 39 past the celebrity room. This road will also pass the driving range and will end at Lake Cecile. Both docks are ADA accessible.

·         Beach Volleyball: Volleyball is located on the East side of the property, lake side.  You may access volleyball by traveling the road across from building 39 past the celebrity room. This road will also pass the driving range and will end at Lake Cecile.  Volleyball is situated on a sandy beach and Is not Handicap accessible.

·         Pickleball: The pickle ball courts are located on celebrity way (the East side of the property) across from building 39. This is a paved drive and is handicap accessible.

·         Basketball: The resort basketball courts are located on celebrity way (the East side of the property) across from building 39. This is a paved drive and the courts are handicap accessible.
